This Megadeth Bomb Splatter T-Shirt image features one of 'em. - This Megadeth Bomb Splatter T-Shirt is made in black cotton with a regular fit for perfect wear out for any place. Megadeth On April 11, 1983, Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica just prior to the band recording their debut album Kill 'Em All due to substance abuse and personal conflicts with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. As Metallica's lead guitarist since 1981, Mustaine had composed some of the group's early songs and helped hone the band into a tight live unit. Afterward, Mustaine vowed revenge by forming a band that was faster and heavier than Metallica. On the bus trip back to Los Angeles, Mustaine found a pamphlet by California senator Alan Cranston that read: "The arsenal of megadeath can't be rid no matter what the peace treaties come to." The term "Megadeath" stuck with Mustaine and he wrote a song with the spelling slightly changed to Megadeth, which, according to Mustaine, represented the annihilation of power. In 1984, Megadeth recorded a three-song demo tape featuring Mustaine, Ellefson, and Rausch. The demo tape, Last Rites, was released on March 9, 1984. The demo featured early versions of "Last Rites/Loved to Death", "The Skull Beneath the Skin", and "Mechanix", all of which appeared on the band's debut album. The band was unable to find a compatible second guitarist. Kerry King of Slayer filled in on rhythm guitar for several shows in the San Francisco area in the spring of 1984. Afterwards, King went back to Slayer and Megadeth replaced Rausch with jazz fusion drummer Gar Samuelson. Samuelson had previously been in the jazz band the New Yorkers with guitarist Chris Poland. After seeing Samuelson perform with Megadeth as a trio, Poland went backstage and suggested an impromptu audition as lead guitarist for the band; he joined Megadeth in December 1984. After the lineup stabilized, Megadeth released a number of platinum-selling albums, including Rust in Peace (1990) and Countdown to Extinction (1992). These albums, along with worldwide tours, brought them public recognition. The band temporarily disbanded in 2002 when Mustaine suffered an arm injury and re-established in 2004 without bassist Ellefson, who had taken legal action against Mustaine. Ellefson settled out of court and rejoined in 2010. Megadeth has hosted its own music festival, Gigantour, several times since July 2005. Megadeth has sold 38 million records worldwide, earned platinum certification in the United States for six of its fifteen studio albums, and received twelve Grammy nominations. Megadeth won its first Grammy Award in 2017 for the song "Dystopia" in the Best Metal Performance category. The band's mascot, Vic Rattlehead, regularly appears on album artwork and live shows. The group has drawn controversy for its music and lyrics, including album bans and canceled concerts; MTV refused to play two of the band's music videos that the network considered to condone suicide. Megadeth is considered one of the most musically influential groups that originated in the 1980s. As part of the early American thrash metal movement, the band's music was a direct influence on death metal. Sociologist Keith Kahn-Harris wrote that the mainstream success of Megadeth was one of the reasons for the expansion of extreme metal to countries where it had previously been unknown. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Megadeth has sold 9.2 million copies of its albums in the United States between 1991 and 2014.

TUK Burgundy Faux Sued... $105.99
TUK Burgundy Faux Suede Mondo Creeper V3291 - Our lightweight Viva mondo sole is approximately 1 3/4” at the heel and 1 1/4” in the front. - This double sole creeper has removable memory foam insoles for added comfort - These TUK Burgundy Faux Suede Mondo Creeper V3291 have a black woven interlace, and silver metal D-rings on our patented T.U.K. Skull n' Bones creeper sole design. T.U.K./Creeper History Originally from Northampton, England, T.U.K. has moved to the sandy shores of San Diego, CA since 1990. English footwear since the 1890s, brought the distinctly British aspects of the shoe and found the greatest inspiration and influence in the ever growing Southern California punk rock scene. The main result was: a one-of-a-kind distinctive brand of footwear that fosters punk roots across the entire world. T.U.K.'s first retail store was opened in 1991, selling their very own shoes in-house. Demand sudden began to grow, and soon T.U.K. was selling its products worldwide. T.U.K. fabricates a variety of footwear from women’s high heels to unisex sneakers, but the most popular design is, without a doubt, the creeper platform design. Made from crepe rubber during WWII, the thick creeper-sole helped soldiers in the deserts of North African across the hot and sandy terrain. John Ayto claims to have labeled the name 'brothel creeper' during those wartime years. The Smithsonian Museum suggests that the crepe in the thick sole might have provided the creeper name towards the shoe. It can also possibly be associated with Ken Mackintosh's dance tune which had great popularity in 1953 called "The Creep." Like fashion does, it followed the foot steps of these soldiers and the thick soles began to catch on in England. In London, the decades following the war gave way to a kaleidoscopic cultural underground with subcultures exploding with a variety of styles during the time.Influenced by the Edwardian dressing manner of the Dandies, the Teddy Boy style grew along with the introduction of American rock n’ roll music. Teds wore even bulkier, draped jackets, and high-wasted trousers. They often wore their collars loose and often styled up their outfits with very flamboyant detailing like Bolo Ties and velvet trim. The creeper shoe was also well worn by the Ton-Up boys from the 1950s and later on by the rockers of the '60s, who enjoyed wearing them as an alternative shoe when they weren't riding their motorbikes. Greased hair was the hair style of preference. And if you looked down and your feet at any moment, you’d be sure to see the Teds boasting their fine, slickly polished oxfords, or the crepe-soled classic, platformed creepers. And as we know, through the ‘60s and ‘70s was the rise of the Rockers and the Mods, who took hold their liking in classic Teddy Boy-centric garb ebbed and flowed, and it wasn’t until the great rise of punk around the mid ‘70s when the creeper was once again seen on the feet of many, an uproar that surged well into the ‘80s, thrived in the ‘90s, and eventually exploded with the great expansion of the world-wide web. The creeper shoe has since then been adopted by subcultures like indie, ska, punk, new wavers, psychobilly, rockabilly, greasers and goth, Japanese Visual Kei, and was also worn by Bananarama, and the singer of Republica Saffron. Now more than ever before, outsider styles and subcultures hold the style inspired around the whole world, and with its historical background that is deeply woven in the English style and at the West Coast punk way of living, T.U.K. is able to perfectly represent and illustrate the culture clash/expansion of the past few decades.
