About the band

Darkthrone is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1986. Initially starting out as a death metal act, they shifted to black metal in the early 1990s, becoming pioneers of the genre. Known for their raw, lo-fi sound and minimalist approach, Darkthrone's music often features fast, aggressive guitar riffs, shrieking vocals, and a cold, atmospheric vibe.
