Operation Ivy Ska Man Patch
Operation Ivy Ska Man Patch
"Amazing place to get patches. Fast shipping, and a really cool selection."
- Jacob J.
Description
Operation Ivy's classic Ska Man design gets the stripped-down treatment here, with the band's hand-drawn logo across the top and the dancing, hat-wearing figure printed underneath in stark white against black cloth. The rough two-color look suits a band that never needed polished graphics to make a point. Operation Ivy formed around Berkeley's 924 Gilman Street scene in 1987, mixing punk aggression with ska rhythms before burning out two years later. Their lone full-length, "Energy," arrived in 1989 and became a lasting blueprint for ska-punk long after the band was gone. The Ska Man artwork is part of that same visual language, simple enough to recognize from the other side of the pit.
