The Cure Robert Smith Patch
The Cure Robert Smith Patch
"Amazing place to get patches. Fast shipping, and a really cool selection."
- Jacob J.
Description
The Cure's name sits above a stark black-and-white portrait of Robert Smith on this printed cloth patch, using the kind of high-contrast photocopy look that fits the band's early post-punk years better than anything glossy. The image keeps the focus on Smith's face and unmistakable hair, with no extra color or decoration getting in the way. The Cure began as Easy Cure in 1976, became The Cure in 1978, and released their debut album "Three Imaginary Boys" in 1979. That same year brought "Boys Don't Cry," one of the songs that helped establish the band's early sound before they moved deeper into darker territory with records like "Seventeen Seconds" and "Faith.
