Sleep Token are a masked, anonymous rock collective from the UK, led by frontman Vessel, who channels an ancient deity known as “Sleep” through their music.
Founded in 2016, the band's lineup features Vessel plus “disciples” on drums, guitar, bass, and backing vocals—each member identified only by Roman numerals and performing in robes and masks to keep the focus on their art. Musically, they defy genre limits—blending progressive and alternative metal with ambient, post-rock, R&B, trap, pop, and even jazz elements, producing a dynamic, emotionally driven sound that shifts from delicate piano ballads to crushing heavy breakdowns.
